K

Ka

In Egyptian mythological thinking, any man is made up of five[*] parts:

  • The Ka, or etheric double, created at birth, rejoined at death.
  • The Ba, or immaterial soul, released at death to protect the body.
  • The Saha, or Oversoul (a Jungian collective unconscious?)
  • The Name, or flesh, the ‘Achilles’ Heel’ of each physical organism.
  • The Shadow, or nemesis, the doom held in store for each individual.
